I joined Anytime Fitness because I wanted to lose weight. I had been 220 lbs at my heaviest and lost 30 by not drinking pop. I started working with my personal trainer Julie because I was losing weight but didn't know how to change the way my body was shaped. I wanted to learn how to weight train and do it properly. In addition to that, I learned how food affects my body. Julie taught me that, "Abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym!" My trainer gives me accountability and consistency in showing up for my workouts. I actually look forward to my training sessions because they increase my confidence in every aspect of my life and bring me closer to my goal. So far, I have lost weight, inches, body fat, and have a new shape to my body. I can now do things I never did before. I never ran as a child and now as an adult I run 3-4 times per week. I am physically stronger and can do pushups. I caallenge myself more because of the sessions I have with my trainer. Most of my family has Type 2 Diabetes and I believe by exercising and eating right I have avoided getting it. I have created a healthy lifestyle for myself and plan to continue exercising and eating right. Now my family members look to me for advice on eating right and getting healthier. My husband and son have even joined the gym. Anytime Fitness is my favorite place and I look forward to every workout! I think if people aren't smiling during their workout, they must be doing it wrong. Monica Meece 10-26-09
